Large Price Hikes for Christmas Getaways
If you’re going away for Christmas, you could be paying well over the odds. Recent research by Santander credit cards shows that winter sun holidays have the largest difference in price, so if you are planning to fly off to the Maldives you could be paying substantially more during the school holidays.
Winter breaks to the most popular destinations such as Florida, Egypt and Dubai can cost up to 92% more, making it unaffordable for many families.
Meanwhile, holidays within the UK have decreased in price, making trips to Manchester or London the better option from a value for money point of view.
