View of the Rialto Bridge from my hotel window in 2006. When we got to the hostel that we were supposed to stay in, it was after midnight and looked like an abandoned warehouse. And the “streets” of Venice are majorly creepy at night. So we got a hotel on the canal for €100. Good thing it wasn’t tourist season.
