Interview: A Luxury Travel Blog
This weeks interview is with Dr. Paul Johnson of A Luxury Travel Blog. Paul has been working in the Travel industry for 20 years and has been blogging about travel since 2005. His blog focuses on the higher end of the travel spectrum (if you hadn’t guessed!) and is well worth adding to your RSS feed.
What is your first memory of travelling?
Many happy family camping holidays in France.
Is there anywhere you wouldn’t ever travel to (or return to)?
I like to keep an open mind but I prefer to avoid destinations which carry significant danger.
What one tip would you give those writing about travel?
Find a niche that interests you. A particular angle that sets you apart from everyone else.
Do you write as you travel or wait until you return?
Both.
Who inspires you to write?
Since I wrote for both work and pleasure… my family.
What, other than a passport, can you not travel without?
Aside from the obvious things such as money, camera, etc…. my family.
Are you an organized traveller or do you wander?
I like to plan trips in advance but not feel that I have to keep to a rigid schedule once I arrive.
Where do you plan on travelling to next?
My next trip is to the Quiberon Peninsula in Brittany, France.
