100 more days until I’m back in Rome!
Which means 100 more days until:
- I get to have the BEST SANDWICH EVER. And order it IN ITALIAN. Proscuitto e ricotta su ciabatte, per favore. No funghi.
- I have to choke down a glass of warm limoncello, which will induce me to wander around the streets of Rome, speaking in the BEST Italian accent anyone in Italy will ever be blessed to hear.
- The “Tour de Irish pubs in Italy III” begins. This is where said drinking of limoncello will take place.
- I will watch Keith consume gelato 2, 3 times a day. I, on the other hand, will limit myself to 1 single, perfect cup of caffè e pistacchio.
- I’ll watch the sun rise on the Gianicolo, and get to gaze at it sets over the Tevere while on my favorite bridge, Ponte Sant’ Angelo.
I Can NOT Wait.
From June 11-July 10 of this year, I traveled to Europe with a big group of students from my college in Long Beach, CA. We were two classes in which my class studied and stayed in Portovenere, Italy. Portovenere is one of the small towns in the Cinque Terre, and my personal favorite.

Here is a picture of some of us at the ledge of our hostel in beautiful Portovenere, Italy.
