This is the life, there is nothing better in the summer than watching the sun set at the beach in a campervan with a few beers in the fridge. Getting out of the sea (which isn’t exactly warm here in the UK) and warming up in the van makes you glad you aren’t stuck in a tiny car also!
Since I found out that you can hire vans like the one above just like you can hire cars the idea of staying in a hotel seems a bit silly. Unfortunately a lot of car parks down here in the south west aren’t keen on people staying overnight so you have to be sneaky with your parking :)
It’s even fun in the winter because it isn’t so busy and the waves are bigger if you can stand the cold. It gets dark sooner but you can have a campfire (as long as you tidy up after yourself) and keep warm.

I got back from Paris last Friday, haven’t had chance to write a full post yet but I wanted to share the above photo. Apparently in Paris it is acceptable to Graffiti white vans. The owners don’t seem to mind, I saw several vans even more covered than the above example although they were in motion so I couldn’t get a good photo of them.
I guess its similar to the way that graffiti tends to end up on railway hoardings but not on houses. The fact that the van drivers don’t bother to clean the graffiti off no doubt leads to more being added. Its like there is a understanding that you can spray paint on commercial vehicles but obviously not on cars. I quite like it - it adds a bit of colour to the neighbourhood!
