Known as the Bradshaw paintings for Joseph Bradshaw who discovered them in 1891, they are believe to be up to 60,000 years old and five times older than the Egyptian pyramids. According to Indigenous legend, the paints were created by birds using their tail feathers, and rank in sophistication and significance along with Nefertari’s tomb in Egypt.
Australia’s Coral Coast
Ningaloo Reef is the world’s largest fringing reef with over 500 species of fish, manta rays, turtles and 300 varieties of coral. In late March and Mid-July, you can swim with the world’s largest fish, the whale shark, which can reach up to 16 meters in length. Between June and November, you can watch the humpback whales make their migration. The reef has an incredible biodiversity that you don’t want to miss on your road trip.
Feel like you’re walking on the moon at the Pinnacles, which is one of Australia’s most unique natural landscapes. It was formed over a million years ago as thousands of tall limestone spires rise out of the beautiful yellow desert sands of Nambung National Park.
